From July 24, 2026, Porto Cesareo inaugurates its Underwater and Coastal Archaeological Park, an area that preserves evidence from the Bronze Age to the Roman era. The program of guided tours and activities allows you to explore this heritage with archaeologists, both along the coast and in the water.
You can choose between archaeowalking among dunes and coastal sites, archeosnorkeling to observe underwater remains (with your own equipment and good swimming ability), and archeopaddling by canoe or SUP. The activities are free and take place in morning and afternoon shifts, starting from the infopoint in Piazza Aldo Moro, where e-bike sharing and a solar boat are also available to reach the points of interest.
The park is not just archaeology: the calendar includes cultural events such as festivals, conferences, screenings, book presentations, and astronomical evenings. The inauguration on July 24 at 9:30 PM includes the Candle Harmony Concert at Scalo di Furno, while the following day starts with solar boat tours and guided visits to Torre Chianca.
