The Municipality of Poggiardo celebrates the Giornata dell'Unità Nazionale e delle Forze Armate on Sunday 8 November 2026, in memory of the fallen of all wars. The recurrence is part of the celebrations of IV Novembre and the ceremony is open to all citizens. The gathering is at 9:30 at the Parco della Rimembranza, where the Mayor gives the commemorative speech and laurel wreaths are laid; from there a procession reaches the Liceo Artistico "Nino Della Notte" for a second tribute to the fallen. The morning continues with Holy Masses in the church of Poggiardo and in that of Vaste. The last appointment is in piazza Dante in Vaste, with the laying of wreaths in front of the stele of the Milite Ignoto and the Mayor's closing speech. The initiative is organised by the Municipality of Poggiardo.
