The Pro Loco Association of Montemesola organizes the 52nd edition of the mustache festival, a very well-known event in the area. The event takes place from August 1 to 2, 2026 and includes food stalls, shows, a parade of regional historical processions, an exhibition of Fiat 500s, and evening entertainment. The setups will occupy Piazza Dr. Mario Carbonaro, Largo Osanna, and Piazza Giovanni Paolo II. For the occasion, parking and traffic bans are planned in the affected areas.

XXXIII Concorso di Ceramica Contemporanea 'Mediterraneo'

The XXXIII Concorso di Ceramica Contemporanea 'Mediterraneo' brings to the Castello Episcopio in Grottaglie 81 works selected from 401 applications from 48 countries. An event that confirms the Apulian city as an international reference point for artistic ceramics. The exhibition, set up from July 4 to October 18, presents works ranging from sculpture to installation, with particular attention to innovation and contemporaneity. This year's novelty is the 'Grande Opera' section, dedicated to ceramic interventions designed to dialogue with urban space and the public outside the exhibition halls.

Pagine di Puglia – II edizione

The second edition of "Pagine di Puglia" animates the summer of Grottaglie with five literary meetings in the Atrium of Castello Episcopio. The series, promoted by the Department of Culture, brings authors and books of various genres to the city, from crime to non-fiction, up to biography. Among the scheduled events: on July 24 Claudia Girardi presents "Delitto a via delle Rose", on July 27 Michela Conte discusses "Controsenso, Usi e abusi delle parole", on August 29 Giuliano Volpe talks about archaeology, on September 3 Claudio Papa returns with the cases of Chiara Albano, and on September 5 Comasia Scialpi tells the story of Oriana Fallaci. All meetings start at 7:00 PM and admission is free.
