Processions in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows and Saint Gaetano

The Parish of San Giorgio Martire in Locorotondo organizes two religious processions in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows and Saint Gaetano. On Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 6:30 PM, the procession will start from the Church of the Addolorata and will go through Piazza Dante, Corso XX Settembre, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, Via A. Bruno, Via E. di Dogali, returning to the Mother Church. On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 8:00 PM, the procession will start from the Mother Church and will cross Piazza Fra' Giuseppe A. Rodio, Via Porta Nuova, Piazza A. Mitrano, Via Cavour, Piazza A. Moro, Via Martina Franca, Piazza Marconi, Corso XX Settembre, returning to the Church of the Addolorata in Piazza Dante. The celebrations are open to all faithful.
Festa della Parrocchia Sacra Famiglia

The Sacra Famiglia Parish in Contrada Lamie di Olimpia organizes a two-day celebration. On Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2026, religious and recreational events open to the community will take place. For the occasion, the municipal road S.C. 101 will be closed to traffic between the S.P. 216 and the S.C. 102.
15^ Coppa San Marco - Gara ciclistica amatoriale

Domenica 13 settembre 2026 si terrà la 15^ edizione della "Coppa San Marco", una gara ciclistica amatoriale organizzata dall'ASD SPES Alberobello. Il percorso si snoda per le campagne di Locorotondo, toccando le contrade San Marco, Sallonica, Impicananna-Serio, Nunzio, Tamburrino-Pozzonuovo, Scianna-Mancinella e Cinquenoci-Monteciccone. Partenza prevista alle ore 16:20 dal Bar San Marco di sopra (altezza edificio scolastico) e arrivo presso la Chiesa di San Marco.
